I Wanted to Do Things Differently
I came into this industry in 1998, at a moment when home technology was just beginning to find its place in how people live. What I didn't expect was how much the work would reveal about the industry itself, and how much room there was to do it better.
Too many homeowners were left with systems that looked impressive on paper and underdelivered in practice. Installers who disappeared after the final walkthrough. Technology that requires a manual to operate and a service call to enjoy. The gap between what clients were promised and what they actually experienced stuck with me.
In 2005, I founded iModernology with a clear intention, to build a company that takes as much pride in the client relationship as it does in the final result. For our clients who have invested significantly in their homes and expect technology to work seamlessly, that distinction matters.
